London is really generally a beautiful town. Only what the urban features concern and all the sights but also all other things, what, is loose about in this town not. One would like to mention the flea market for example. There is no more beautiful than this one in London. Primarily this one is worth mentioning in the side streets but also the business.
There is to see many things there. Some can make a bargain in some shops that way. You broke open as Lucie Jordan with their friend Peter Wright for a stroll through the town like on that Tuesday morning. She had always to be fast filled with enthusiasm about something while for Peter these meant stroll rather frustration as a desire. Only his friend to please he made to himself on this heavy corridor and she accompanied.
She stopped in front of almost every shopwindow and the display looked at itself more exactly. She found these interesting, she entered the shop in question so and rummaged in it for a long time. From time to time, this could already last over an hour. The time was not being aware of you at this moment. For it was only necessary to find
something at which it had joy, hers would be what an important component life or else, for it. So anyway she always expressed herself opposite Peter. Up till now what she understood by it had not got clear him yet. Anyway she could not explain it also more precisely.
So they also came to an antique shop to not see too much in whose display was. Merely a chest of drawers, a secretary, a little jewellery and old pipes. But an armchair was in the backmost corner of the shopwindow. In the past, how in the front room Lucie's grandma had it a right wing chair. Of course it looked no longer new. On the contrary. Already he seemed very worn out and one saw at the seams, these wanted to part with the armchair. And had a look in her eyes Lucie at once anyway when she dreamt of a world tour and was already to this aim away.
He had immediately understood what this was called for Peter. It was as of to the shop said and rummage now once. Here she seemed again to look for her self-esteem. Peter cherished the hope, it would not last too long. Finally they were away for already five hours and his stomach growled like
a lion from which one had stolen his food. His tongue also no longer really obeyed him. It stuck more, in that too otherwise it still uses him something was at the palate. What he needed was a ribald steak and one, two beers to this. But he discovered numb ears with Lucie there. She was only ready to give way to him if she had found something. And no minute before. Therefore he had the hope now since she seemed finally in the display to see something, it would not further remain a dream for him which the meal concerned.
This step overlooked more stormed Lucie to the shop in that she ran, this one led into the shop and stumbled so over it that she missed the door handle and gripped directly in the plate. The door fortunately only was left ajar and by which she gave wild storms Lucies after and she did not hurt herself. "Na, Na. Paint slowly with the young legs now. You really can also leisurely enter my shop. Unless you intend to destroy it of the outside to inside. You then should start a second test."
When the one of the antique dealers said to Lucie, it laughed about itself. It felt it funnily, but Peter and Lucie could not laugh about it. On the
contrary, she countered: "You should attach a signpost to the shop door. Mind the step! One could break his neck in the lobby. I hope they are insured well, so that they then do not have to pay such damages from the bag of their own."
The dealer noticed that his jokes did not arrive among these customers. Therefore he behaved quietly once. Because he after all did not want to put them off what would he have done with that, if he would have let out at this moment of his rage about the remark of the woman.
He turned away to devote oneself to his activities further. He had to do nothing important thing in the reason but he behaved opposite them so as if he had to take care of other important things.
The shop seemed smaller than it in reality was. By the partly bulky objects which stood around here its appearance rather did a store good as because a load. Lucie had, himself a try to fight for the furniture. What knew you already, and where she wanted. She did not want to find something special in this shop yet. She wanted alone the armchair. It caressed what it wants. She had
herself to have this armchair into the head sedately. To all the other furniture this one did not have her at all even if it fitted. She did not care. Was only important, this armchair must here!
Peter still suspected nothing this of everyone. It afterwards crept for her and only was surprised that she looked at nothing actually in the reason. But ran past at everything. Thought it why only this behaviour, at itself? What had she already had in the viewpoint anyway about which it had no idea yet?
When Lucie had arrived for the shopwindow, she had a look at the armchair a little more nearly. And she said to herself: "A wonderful piece. This one would match exactly next to the window in the living room."
Peter looked at her from the side. "You really do not want to buy approximately this ugly thing there. Yes, not even my grandmother would let this one into the front room." It astonishedly and at the same time horrifiedly stared at its friend. No, this could not really be her seriousness. This ugly shabby thing. Come this one into the flat to
her everybody would, would run away backwards anyway again. This was already clear to it now.
Despite but nothing the. Lucie insisted on having it.
She completely dreamily looked at the armchair.
"No, this is not your seriousness anyway. Come down to earth again." Peter did not understand his friend. She had always for certain had a certain obsession. But this would put on the barrel the crown.
"You have chosen a really rare piece. All other things stand alone. I only can recommend them this piece of furniture. It would be an enrichment for you." The antique dealer had himself quietly sidled from behind to the two without them having noticed it.
"Yes an enrichment for the bulky refuse. This armchair too more is not good anyway." Peter left his frustration full run.
"Make mid-calf length now, however. One must it
already, but then is an actual beauty polish something up him. How much he shall cost?" Lucie consulted the dealer, then.
"The price for this beauty is virtually ridiculous. Only six hundred pounds. If you yourself say, you almost give anyway." It self-assuredly gave her the price, ", well, the price is not understated certainly. But I would not just describe it as a too cheap, too. I offer them four hundred and fifty pounds. He still would be overexpensive with that." Who knew Lucie knew that she had always enjoyed haggling. Peter did not understand price to haggle but about such. This piece of furniture was not worth ten pounds in his eyes and the two threw with the hundred-pound notes around themselves only in such a way. No, this could not be understood for him.
"I ask them good lady. Their seriousness cannot this what offer them to me be there."
"You see, even the dealer says that this is too much. Therefore let these games and we go."
Peter already considered himself a winner in spirit.
"I have not said this. On the contrary. The supply I her wife made to me, find understated very much, this. I gave them my price for this piece. And I do not differ from it." It still got a little more forceful. The initial conversation perhaps had an effect a little now, however, too. Who knew this already?
"Therefore good. I let me talk round and pay five hundred pounds. But it must be enough with that. You know yourself that he is not worth this." Also she made the attempt forceful to look. In what she succeeded also well?
Peter saw of one on the other hand. What he saw and saw here, this a dream could be nothing else. This was not the rough reality. It would certainly be wakes up and sees at once, it has dreamt this only. This was always so him. If in the dream something got unreal, it woke up. But it should be mistaken. Because it did not wake up since it was in a condition which one could describe as not more awake.
"They know beautiful woman life, I must also of something. But because I like them so, I approach
them a little. We say five hundred and fifty. Do they agree with that?" Sauer smiled a little sweetly him when he presented the suggestion to her. So as if he wanted to say, eat bird or die.
Once again, Lucie took a look at the good piece more exactly. She had for certain thus still much work. But on the other hand.
"Oh, what shall it? I agree. I take him. He shall have it with me well."
"What do you talk actually about there? Is this a bird or even one dog? These could have it at you well. How it shall have but this piece of furniture, at you well? You also want to feed it well approximately?" Peter did not understand the world any more. More than only a puzzle put on it the behaviour of its friend.
"Well, I will deliver the good piece of mornings to them. Do they agree with that?" He afterwards would receive himself the two with that. To take all necessary formalities at the register.
"No, I would rather take him along at once. If
they have nothing against this." And it pulled out its purse from the shoulder bag and the complete sum scrolled on the table. Peter's face beat somersaults. She actually meant it seriously. How could one be only in such a way silly? He still controlled himself a little to say, though. He finally did not want to have a strife in his relation. So he locked his mouth and let it grant. He knew he did not have any chance now to say something against this armchair and its overexpensive price.
Lucie sent Peter in bulk, he shall fetch the car, so that they did not have to carry the armchair through whole London. Peter shook only the head and got on the way.
This already lasted for a certain time because they were remotely from the car park already a certain stretch of road.
When Peter appeared with the car finally in front of the shop, the dealer had managed to get him out of the shopwindow. Lucie beamingly loaded him into the car, in which she had to state that the tailgate did not shut any more, since this piece of furniture was a little too big for the car.
